We have to make these things better, together.
There are a number of things in this life that need our collective collaboration to improve upon. Poverty, environmental concerns, disease, pandemics to name a few. We’ve all been affected by one or more of these (or will in the future), and if you haven’t you have then you have been extremely lucky so far.
We need to help where we can. Do our bit.
Game on Cancer is a great cause that helps fund cancer research. Any donation above $2 is tax deductible.
About Game On Cancer
Game On Cancer® is an initiative of Cure Cancer, a charity that funds early-career cancer researchers who are working across all cancers and all areas of cancer research.
Over the past 55 years, Cure Cancer has raised $83.1m to support over 540 lifesaving research grants across all cancer types.
Our vision is to make this the last generation to die from cancer.
Why we like what they do
We like what they do because they connect with the gaming community. They allow content creators, Twitch streamers, YouTubers to get involved deeply with the project and use gamification to create a sense of ownership of the charity work being done. Just take a look at the official supporters in the gaming industry below.
The gaming industry is massive and growing year on year. Their work is imperative to help create awareness as well as raise funds for very important research.
They have been around for many years under the name, Cure Cancer and have recently set up this gaming centric arm to try to connect better with the gaming industry.
Success so far
Whilst they have enjoyed success over the years, there is still much more work to be done. They need as much help as they can get, and that’s where we and you come in.
Game On Cancer is endorsed by our beloved Back Pocket team! We are avid supporters of Back Pocket on their Patreon page so to see them being ambassadors for Game On Cancer is such an awesome thing.
